  • Our food services cluster has had 4 meetings to date, where the group has identified a set of goals and objectives and are working with a number of industry experts to strengthen their operations. At our last meeting was held at Farm Boy with the VP of Logistics & IT and the Executive Chef joining us to discuss how to get your products to market.
  • We have launched our first, inaugural conference Unleashed: The Social Enterprise Event, which is happening on November 17 at the Museum of Nature. Tickets are on sale now.
  • We are pleased to be welcoming Hilary McVey to our team, who comes to us from Carleton’s Non-Profit & Leadership Master’s program. We are also excited to be re-engaging with Urooj Qureshi to assist us with a number of projects between now and the end of the year.

Upcoming Projects:
We’re excited about these upcoming projects:

  • The first meeting of the Repurposing, Remanufacturing & Recycling Cluster is being held on October 4. With over 10 social enterprises invited to the first cluster meeting, we anticipate setting the goals and objectives for the cluster over the two-hour workshop period.
  • After receiving funds from the Ontario Centre for Excellence, we are now working to build an accelerator program for both the food cluster and the repurposing, remanufacturing, recycling cluster. These will be set to launch in January, 2017.
