Info on National Conference on Social Enterprise!

An invite from Jonathan Wade, President, SOCIAL DELTA

I am quite sure that you know about the forthcoming national conference on social enterprise that is to be held in London, ON from April 22-24. I’ve recently been informed that very few social enterprises from Ottawa have registered yet, and therefore I wanted to contact you to encourage you to consider attending.

I recognize that London is a bit of a travel challenge, but I am convinced that it will be a valuable opportunity for social enterprises to meet other practitioners and kindred spirits from across the country. There will also be lawyers, policy makers, financiers and funders and many others connected with the growing opportunities in the sector.

A key theme of the conference is social procurement, and any social entrepreneur will benefit from the discussions, the connections, and possibly the policy implications of these workshops.

Furthermore, it is more like spring in London than here, and part of the program includes sessions held around the city of London, actually in social enterprise locations.

If you are at all able to take the time to travel to London for April 22-24, I believe that it will be three days well spent. To register or to find out more, visit If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Even if you aren’t able to make it, consider sending a colleague, or sharing this message with others in Ottawa who can help us “represent” our growing successes in social entrepreneurship in Eastern Ontario.

Hope to see you there.
