It’s Elimu Charity BBQ time again!

To our Ottawa-based friends:

What a year we’ve had! The new Elimu Resource Centre in Malindi has provided a base for our projects and a hub for our children. We now have a place for staff to do their work (not Nina’s home). There is meeting space for kids to do peer teaching during the school holidays and for parents to join us for discussions. We are able to offer seminars for students to plan ahead for careers. And, the Elimu name has become well known in the community and synonymous with digital learning.

We’ve got so much to celebrate.

Come join us on Saturday …

Enjoy delicious M&M burgers, hot dogs and smoked sausages or veggie burgers with a selection of soft drinks.

Remember, all funds raised at the BBQ go directly to Elimu projects in Kenya.

July 22nd – 10am – 3pm

Outside M&M Meat Shop in Manotick
990 River Road, opposite Tim Horton’s

Drizzle or shine. (In case of torrential downpour, we’ll cancel and advise an alternate date on our facebook or by email.)

I will be there throughout with fellow board members and volunteers. It’s a great opportunity to hear more about all that’s going on in Kenya.

If you can’t make it out to the event, you can still join us virtually by making a donation online. Just click below:

Thank you all for your amazing support in the year past and beyond. With your help children in Kenya are improving their performance at school and gaining new hope for their futures!

To all of you in Ottawa — we hope to see you Saturday!

Gratefully yours,
