This program is designed tosupport budding apparel entrepreneurs in Ottawa, particularity those facing barriers to setting up their own businesses.

ECO EQUITABLE

EcoEquitable is a registered Canadian charity and social enterprise providing temporary employment and skills development training through small scale textile recycling. Our mission is to provide a bridge between social and economic integration for new Canadians, especially immigrant women, experiencing barriers to finding employment. EcoEquitable provides an inclusive and sustainable environment where all who join can realize their full potential not only within themselves, but also within their community.

We are helping women in our community learn the skills they need to contribute to the budding eco fashion industry while blending our love for the environment, support for entrepreneurship, and desire to help new Canadians find meaningful employment.

For the past ten years, we’ve provided employment and skills training for new immigrant and underemployed women, while diverting harmful waste from our landfills. And with your help, we will continue for another ten years: recycling fabric and changing lives.
