The Schulich School of Business is now accepting applications for the 2017 cohort of the FCO Program 

Co-operative innovations around the world are generating the kinds of empowering and sustainable change that so many people are looking for today. The Fundamentals of Co-operative Organizations Certificate Program (FCO) will give you the knowledge and skills you need capitalize on the co-op difference!

Highlights include:

  • 10 weeks of part-time, online and in-person study (January – March 2017)
  • Small class size, and low student-teacher ratio
  • Interaction with leading scholars and co-op CEOs
  • Analysis of governance, legislation, regulatory bodies
  • Strategic planning and change management
  • Developing a co-op, financial management, accounting and raising capital
  • Member recruitment and engagement

We have designed this course, in partnership with the Schulich School of Business, York University, to fit into a working professional’s busy schedule. It equips co-op entrepreneurs, staff and directors with the skills they need to lead their organizations. With our emphasis on practical and transferable management skills, we deal with context-specific challenges that are unique to the co-op sector.
